Update 2026. Everything i wrote in 2019 is the same. I uninstalled it years ago and recently added it back in to check it out. I've played gin rummy my whole life. this game looks pretty and runs smoothly but the computer algorithms stink! The computer Knocks after 1 to 4 draws frequently, which is unrealistic and of course totally frustrating. Also, it's ridiculously rare that I draw a useful card. So, this game is mostly frustrating and annoying. I have no idea how anyone could enjoy it.

The game is completely random. We create a brand new deck with every hand and randomly shuffle it. We then deal the cards to each player the same as you would playing with real cards. The computer has absolutely no advantages, I promise!

I enjoyed this Gin game over others until it became clear the game, at the expert level, is rigged. at first it was subtle, but when the computer gins after 1 or 2 cards....consistently, the fun isn't there anymore. if you could reset the stats it might not be as frustrating but I'm not sure. luckily, most of the other Northstar games are running this way. it's just very disappointing

I have downloaded and played this app for quite a number of years. The game play was balanced. There were pretty much equal amounts of loss and win no ads. Ever since joining with Unity that has not been the case. In addition there are now ads. Granted not as many as other games/apps but there none the less. Plus the game play follows the majority of other Unity games, no balanced game play. Highly disappointed. What used to be my favorite and go to game, is now uninstalled.
